BIOGRAPHY

Glenn Voss, Ph.D. (Texas A&M), is an Associate Professor in the Marketing Department, Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University.

Glenn currently teaches the MBA Marketing Management (MKTG 6201) course at SMU.  Previously, he taught undergraduate courses in Marketing Management, Electronic Marketing, and Retail Management and MBA courses in Marketing Strategy, Pricing, and International Entrepreneurship at North Carolina State University, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, HEC in Paris, IAE in Aix-en-Provence, and EDHEC in Lille.

Glenn's research interests include innovation and creativity, relationship marketing, and retail pricing strategies. His research has appeared in leading academic journals in marketing (e.g., Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research), management (e.g., Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science), and the arts (e.g., International Journal of Arts Management). He is the recipient of research grants from the National Science Foundation, Marketing Science Institute, and Aspen Institute, among others. In 2008, he was recognized as a Top-100 Cutting Edge Marketing Faculty (tied for 42nd) by the American Marketing Association DocSIG based on research productivity for the period 2000-07.

Glenn is a member of the editorial review board of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, where he was recognized with Outstanding Reviewer Awards for 2000-2003 and 2003-2006. He also is on the editorial review board for the Journal of Retailing (Outstanding Reviewer Award, 2006) and the Journal of Services Research and is an ad-hoc reviewer for the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Marketing Science. He is the past Chair of the American Marketing Association's Retailing Special Interest Group and co-chaired the American Marketing Association Educators' Conference in February 2005. He was a member of the Executive Committee for the Triangle Opera Company from 1996-98 and a member of the North Carolina Museum of Art Council from 1998-2007.
